Dear Friend, 

The Hyndman-Londonderry Public Library is asking for your support. In 2010 the state cut our funding by 21% and an additional 9% cut is expected for 2011. As a result, we have to rely on local support more than ever. The generous contributions from friends like you are what will help keep our library functioning. 

Your contribution will be used to keep our library operating at a professional level so that we can meet the demands of our patrons. Demand for library services is up dramatically during this recession and libraries are busier then ever before serving people looking for work, families on tight budgets, and retirees grappling with shrinking savings. Budget cuts will reduce library services for the very people who need libraries the most. These cuts have already affected our hours as we are no longer able to afford to be open on Saturdays. 

Will you help to continue the library services by participating in our annual fund drive? Your prompt response would be greatly appreciated. The Library Board of Directors thanks you for your participation and for your help in maintaining library services.
